## Job description

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care, practicing in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. They serve as a caregiver, often taking modified patient assignments, and lead efforts to maintain clinical excellence and resource efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage patient assignments, discharge planning, and bed coordination in collaboration with care teams and administration. Conduct daily patient rounds to evaluate care quality, ensuring adherence to evidence-based standards and safety protocols. Promote relationship-based, patient-centered care through effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration. Lead staffing, resource planning, and unit workflow to optimize care delivery and address operational needs. Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and foster staff development through mentorship and preceptorship. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of an Associate or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred. Current RN license with BLS certification; national specialty certification preferred. At least 1 year of nursing experience; 2+ years as relief charge strongly preferred. Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills; proficient in technology and documentation. Ability to collaborate effectively, solve complex challenges, and uphold professional standards.
