## Job description

Role Overview: An occupational therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to restore or improve patients' daily functioning, mobility, cognitive skills, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are provided across the continuum, focusing on quality, cost-efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment: Collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans, set goals, and design discharge strategies based on patient and family input. Care Provision: Implement treatment plans, select appropriate activities, adjust goals as needed, and provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals. Documentation: Record evaluations, treatment sessions, and educational materials per departmental standards and ensure timely submission. Professional Conduct: Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, demonstrate punctuality, communicate effectively, participate in training, and adhere to dress codes. Customer Service & Teamwork: Use AIDET principles, foster a positive environment, respect patients and colleagues, and support a collaborative team approach. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education, complete necessary competencies, and support orientation of new staff. Qualifications & Skills Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program (Bachelor’s or Master’s) Licensed Occupational Therapist CPR/BLS certification, including instructor or provisional status Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills Join this role to contribute meaningfully to patient recovery, work within a supportive team, and advance your professional development in a dynamic healthcare environment.
