## Job description

Patent Prosecution Associate (2–4 Years) Location: Atlanta, GA Salary: $225,000–$260,000 Practice Area: Patent Prosecution – Chemical / Life Sciences Level: Junior / Mid-Level Associate A leading intellectual property law firm is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate to join its established Chemical practice in Atlanta. The successful attorney will advise sophisticated clients on patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate, due diligence and broader IP counseling matters, with exposure to substantial global patent portfolios. The position offers meaningful responsibility for day-to-day portfolio management, supervision of technical specialists and participation in client meetings within a highly regarded specialist IP platform. Candidates should have two to four years of relevant experience across patent prosecution, FTO, due diligence and counseling matters, ideally including experience managing large patent portfolios and working directly with clients. Prior experience as a patent agent or technical specialist will be considered alongside post-J.D. attorney experience. A strong scientific background in organic chemistry and small molecules is required, with an advanced scientific degree strongly preferred. A J.D., USPTO registration and admission in a state in which the firm maintains an office are required, together with strong academic credentials, excellent drafting and analytical skills and a sophisticated understanding of chemical technologies.
