They collaborate closely with physicians, manage technical aspects of perfusion, and respond to critical situations involving the circulatory system. Key Responsibilities Prepare and assemble perfusion equipment and supplies for procedures, ensuring accuracy and safety. Monitor and maintain perfusion devices, including cardiopulmonary bypass, autotransfusion, and ventricular assist devices. Support, treat, and measure the patient’s circulatory and cardiopulmonary systems, adjusting therapies as needed. Document procedures and patient data promptly and accurately. Ensure equipment cleanliness, maintenance, and inventory management. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, providing interpretative data and support. Travel and take call for multiple hospitals, including ECMO transport and coverage. Adhere to policies, standards, and safety protocols while performing duties. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited perfusion program. Minimum three years’ experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and perfusion practices. Strong communication, teamwork, and stress management skills.
