## Job description

Role: The Physical Therapy Assistant collaborates with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment programs aimed at restoring or improving patients' mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Responsibilities: Implements treatment plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with team input, provides patient/family education, and offers discharge instructions and community referrals. Documents sessions per protocols, adheres to ethical standards, maintains confidentiality, and ensures safety and infection control. Customer Service & Professional Development: Strives to deliver excellent service using AIDET principles, fosters teamwork, participates in ongoing education, and maintains licensure and certifications. Supports a positive environment, promotes trust, and collaborates effectively with team members. Qualifications & Skills: Requires a high school diploma and an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy. Certifications include PTA and BLS. Effective communication, customer focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills are essential. Key Duties: Providing patient-centered care, documenting accurately, adhering to policies, and engaging in continuous professional growth.
