Role Description The Production Laboratory Manager (Bentonite Clay) is a full-time, on-site role based in Ozurgeti Municipality. This role oversees daily laboratory operations related to bentonite clay production, including sample collection, testing, quality control, and documentation. The Production Laboratory Manager coordinates with production teams to ensure that laboratory results align with process requirements and product specifications. Responsibilities include maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, implementing and improving testing protocols, supporting research and development initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and environmental standards. The role also involves training and guiding laboratory personnel, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with management on process optimization and product development. Qualifications Strong laboratory skills and experience working with laboratory equipment, including maintenance and calibration. Proficiency in quality control procedures and quality assurance systems within a production or industrial laboratory setting. Well-developed analytical skills and experience in data interpretation, test result validation, and reporting. Background in research and development (R&D), particularly in mineral processing, materials science, or related fields. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Geology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in industrial minerals, mining, or bentonite clay production is an advantage. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to laboratory and production environments. Ability to lead and mentor laboratory staff, work cross-functionally with production teams, and manage multiple priorities. Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
