## Job description

Position: QA Engineer Location: Tbilisi, Georgia. 61, David Agmashenebeli Ave. Employment Type: Full-time, permanent Work Model: On-site Experience: 2+ years in software QA Compensation: Competitive salary based on the candidate’s experience About the company: IntelExpress is a Money Transfer System headquartered in Georgia; The company builds and runs two tightly connected products: IntelExpress — the company’s own money-transfer platform. A Windows desktop application used to send and receive transfers worldwide through our physical branch network of offices and operators. This is the core: it holds the transfer logic, the corridors, and the partner integrations, and it also exposes web services that the company’s partners use for money transfers. InexPay — e-wallet, mobile/web application that brings IntelExpress transfer products directly to customers online. InexPay connects to the IntelExpress platform by API. Because InexPay rides on the IntelExpress platform, a change in one product can surface as a defect in the other. Testing here means understanding both sides of that boundary — which is what makes the role interesting and what makes it matter. Why this role exists: This is the financial sector, and the margin for error is not the same as in most software. A miscalculated commission, a transfer that posts twice, a balance that reads wrong, a limit that fails to apply — any one of these costs real money, the company’s or a customer's, and some of them are hard to reverse once they reach a partner bank or a payout agent. Trust is the product. A defect that reaches production here is not an inconvenience; it is a financial and regulatory event, licensed as PSP supervised by the National Bank of Georgia. That is what the company is hiring for: someone who treats every transaction path as something that must be proven, not assumed. You will be the QA Engineer for both products — and the first dedicated one, which means you will establish how testing is done here: the test strategy, the processes, the regression checklists, and the judgment calls on whether a release is safe. You will not be testing alone — our Product Owners run acceptance and exploratory testing on their own products, and the company’s external mobile development partner runs their own QA on the app they build. Your job is to make all of that add up to real coverage. Today the testing is manual, and this role is manual-first. Test automation is on the company’s roadmap, and if you bring automation experience you will be the one to introduce it — but strong manual testing judgment is what IntelExpress is hiring for now. What you will do: Test new features and tasks before deployment, and run post-deployment smoke tests Test across web, mobile, and Windows desktop applications Test APIs and web services (Postman or similar), including the InexPay–IntelExpress integration boundary and the web services our partners consume Use SQL queries to verify data states and support your testing Reproduce reported bugs and write clear, actionable defect reports the development team can pick up and fix Hunt edge cases and run regression around money flows: commissions, balances, limits, duplicate transactions, failure and reversal paths Define and document QA processes, test plans, and checklists — building our testing practice from the ground up Use AI tooling actively — to draft test cases, generate test data, and speed up analysis — while verifying its output yourself. AI accelerates the writing; the thinking about where the money can go wrong is still yours Help introduce test automation as the company adopts it What the company is looking for: 2+ years of hands-on experience in software QA / manual testing Practical experience testing APIs and web services Basic SQL / database knowledge, enough to verify data during testing A strong testing instinct: edge cases, boundary conditions, and the details others miss The ability to work independently and build QA processes from scratch Georgian and English, both required Nice to have: QA automation experience (Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or similar) — a strong plus, since automation is planned Experience in fintech, payments, or banking Mobile application testing experience Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar) What the company offers: A key role - you shape QA at IntelExpress from the ground up, with direct influence on how the company releases software A clear growth path — toward test automation and QA leadership as the practice you build matures Work on systems where quality visibly matters: real money, real customers, real responsibility On-site work from Tbilisi Head Office A friendly, dynamic, and growth-oriented work environment The opportunity to become part of a team of professionals Health insurance coverage for both you and your family members
