Quality Engineer
Job description
We are looking, on behalf of one of our clients, for a mid-to-senior level QA Engineer to join their growing development team. You will be the first dedicated QA hire, playing a crucial role in establishing strong quality practices and building the foundation for future QA team growth. You will be responsible for manual testing, exploratory testing, and building/maintaining automation suites across our web, mobile, and API platforms About the Role Key Responsibilities • Perform manual and exploratory testing to ensure high-quality releases. • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing using appropriate frameworks. • Build automation frameworks from scratch in areas without existing coverage and maintain/expand frameworks where they exist. • Collaborate closely with backend developers, frontend developers, product managers, and designers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria. • Conduct regression testing, integration testing, and smoke testing for major releases. • Identify, document, and track bugs to closure. • Contribute to CI/CD integration of test automation suites for continuous testing. • Help define and implement QA processes and best practices Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of professional QA experience in manual and automation testing. • Strong experience with Playwright or Cypress for web automation. • Experience using Detox/Maestro for Mobile Automation • Experience with Appium for mobile automation. • Experience with Postman/Newman or Pytest for API testing. • Experience with Python for automation scripting. • Proficiency in JavaScript for writing and maintaining automation scripts. • Ability to work independently, taking ownership of test planning and execution. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Nice-to-Have • Certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent. • Prior experience in fintech, payments, or loyalty platforms. • Exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
