## Job description

Role Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care Ortho Surgical provides high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, system policies, and professional ethics, ensuring adherence to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using critical thinking and evidence-based practices. Deliver patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and involves patients and families through effective communication and education. Coordinate safe care delivery, promote teamwork, and support performance improvement initiatives and shared governance. Engage in professional development, mentorship, and research activities to foster quality and safety. Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and support organizational policies and standards. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelors preferred). Current RN licensure (single or multi-state compact) and BLS certification. Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience. Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills. Proficiency in healthcare technology and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
