## Job description

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team. They practice in accordance with state nursing regulations, standards, and organizational policies, ensuring individualized care through evidence-based practices and the nursing process. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, emphasizing analytical and critical thinking. Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient needs and involve patients and families in care planning. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and promote a respectful, inclusive environment. Support quality improvement activities, participate in performance initiatives, and lead or assist in research and evidence-based practice. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional development and uphold organizational values and safety standards. Ensure resource-efficient care, develop protocols, and support system-wide goals like reducing readmissions and adverse events. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with a valid RN license (single state or multi-state compact). Current BLS certification; additional certifications as required upon hire. Associates or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred). Excellent communication, teamwork, time management, and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in technology and clinical documentation in a fast-paced environment.
