## Job description

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care Ortho Surgical, full-time night shift. Responsibilities Include Providing individualized, high-quality, safe patient care by performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Delivering relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, ensuring communication and collaboration with patients and families through methods like bedside reports and interdisciplinary rounds. Coordinating and documenting safe, efficient care within a respectful, inclusive environment, supporting performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives. Serving as a preceptor or mentor to promote professional development and a healthy work environment. Supporting evidence-based practice, participating in data collection, clinical questions, and protocol development to improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions. Qualifications And Skills Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience. Associate's or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred. Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills; proficiency with technology and basic computer skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating critical thinking, decisiveness, and respectfulness. Additional Requirements: Commitment to professional competency, adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational standards, and active participation in quality improvement activities.
