## Job description

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care - MedSurg provides high-quality, individualized patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. They practice within a clinical environment guided by shared governance, evidence-based standards, and professional ethics, ensuring safe and effective care for diverse patient populations. Key Responsibilities: Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices. Deliver patient-centered care tailored to cultural and demographic needs, involving patients and families in care planning. Coordinate and document safe, quality care through effective communication and teamwork. Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and promote evidence-based practice. Mentor colleagues, adhere to organizational policies, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) required. Certification in BLS or ARC-BLS upon hire. Less than one year of clinical experience or completion of an accredited nursing program. Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and technological skills; ability to respond effectively in fast-paced settings.
