## Job description

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers, utilizing evidence-based standards aligned with the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Their primary focus is on delivering relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and involves patients and families in care planning. Key Responsibilities Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—ensuring individualized care and optimal outcomes. Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and goal setting. Coordinate and document safe, quality care using inclusive interdisciplinary methods. Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance to enhance patient safety and care quality. Support professional development as a preceptor or mentor, completing mandatory and population-specific education. Promote evidence-based practice, adhere to policies, and participate in data collection for clinical questions. Assist in developing protocols and optimizing resource use across the care continuum. Qualifications & Skills Licenses: Active RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification. Education: Associate or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred. Experience: Less than 1 year of clinical care experience preferred. Skills: Critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and a commitment to safety and quality care.
