Key Responsibilities Performs the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based standards. Provides patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, respecting cultural differences and partnering with patients and families to ensure their goals are central to care planning. Coordinates safe, quality care through effective communication within the healthcare team, documentation, and participation in performance improvement activities. Supports professional development by completing ongoing education, mentoring, and serving as a preceptor to new staff and students. Promotes research, evidence-based practice, and participates in data collection and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes. Contributes to resource planning, protocol development, and supports system-wide safety and quality standards. Qualifications & Skills Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred. Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience. Current RN license (single state and multi-state compact), BLS certification, and BLS instructor or provisional status required. Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, critical thinking, and collaborative skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies.
