## Job description

Role Summary: The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team providing individualized, high-quality, safe patient care in a clinical setting supported by the Wellstar Shared Governance Model. They practice in alignment with evidence-based standards, the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Key Responsibilities Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care using critical thinking and evidence-based practices. Patient-Centered Care: Deliver relationship-based care tailored to patient demographics and cultural diversity, partnering with patients and families to meet their goals. Teamwork and Collaboration: Coordinate safe, quality care through effective communication, documentation, and participation in performance improvement and shared governance. Professional Development: Complete competency assessments, serve as preceptor or mentor, and support ongoing education and growth. Evidence-Based Practice & Research: Promote research utilization, participate in data collection, and contribute to clinical decision-making and safety initiatives. Resources & Support: Plan patient care across the continuum, develop protocols, and optimize resource use to improve outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred. Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills. Proficiency in clinical technology, critical thinking, and time management. Licenses & Certifications: Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact), BLS, BLS Instructor, and BLS Provisional. Additional Requirements: Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, respond to emergencies, and adhere to organizational policies and standards.
