## Job description

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care in a clinical setting. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and adhere to evidence-based standards, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and the ANA Code of Ethics. Key Responsibilities Perform nursing processes—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and individualized care. Provide relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient populations. Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and goal-oriented care planning. Ensure safe, quality care by coordinating interdisciplinary communication and documentation. Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities. Support professional development as a preceptor or mentor, and uphold organizational policies and standards. Promote evidence-based practice, research, and data collection to enhance patient outcomes. Assist in developing protocols and optimizing resource utilization for best practice outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred). Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience. Current RN license (multi-state compact) and Basic Life Support certification. Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies professionally. Additional Requirements: Proficiency in English, basic computer skills, and adherence to healthcare regulations and safety standards.
