## Job description

Role: Full-time RN Acute Care in the Surgery/Bariatric unit, working night shifts (7p-7a). Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices. Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual needs, ensuring safety and quality outcomes. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, communicate clearly, and promote a respectful, inclusive environment. Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional growth. Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and uphold organizational policies and standards, including compliance with legal and accreditation requirements. Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), valid GA or Compact RN license, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of RN experience. Less than 1 year of clinical hours may be acceptable for new graduates. Must hold an active RN license and BLS certification. Prior experience in direct patient care is preferred. Skills & Competencies: Critical thinking, effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to evidence-based practice. Ability to coordinate care and engage with patients and families compassionately. Additional: Performs other duties as assigned, adheres to policies, standards of conduct, and promotes excellence in patient care within a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
