Administer aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy with independent decision-making. Educate patients, families, and support staff; mentor and precept new employees and students. Ensure safety and quality through accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. Maintain current certifications and comply with organizational policies. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with an associate’s degree; bachelor’s preferred. Required certifications include NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (or provisional). Additional licenses are a plus. 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills; ability to establish collaborative relationships with healthcare professionals.
