Responsibilities Include Delivering safe, quality patient care through procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, and arterial blood gas sampling. Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Educating patients, families, and new staff members on respiratory therapies and procedures. Promoting a safe environment, compliance with policies, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. Supporting invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics where applicable. Qualifications And Skills Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 hours of science coursework; Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred. Valid NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications upon hire. 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care. Excellent communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills. Additional information: The role involves independent decision-making in complex situations, mentoring staff and students, and maintaining population-specific patient awareness.
