Key Duties Serve as Care Coordinator, evaluating and adjusting respiratory care plans. Demonstrate proficiency in invasive/non-invasive procedures and equipment. Provide consultation across hospital departments and attend patient rounds. Administer respiratory medications, understand pharmacologic interactions, and interpret clinical chemistries like ABGs and electrolytes. Participate in quality improvement, research, and clinical trials; assist in patient discharge and family education. Mentor new staff and students, providing education at bedside and in classroom settings. Maintain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT, RCP) and stay current with industry guidelines. Prioritize care during high-acuity situations, ensure accurate documentation, and support infection prevention measures. Operate clinical equipment, participate in patient transports, and follow hospital policies. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy preferred. Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional, with certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP. Minimum of 2 years in critical care preferred.
