## Job description

Role: Respiratory Therapist II, responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex care settings. Key Responsibilities Provide patient care, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis. Collaborate with healthcare teams for care planning and documentation. Educate patients, families, and support systems; mentor and precept new staff and students. Promote safe practices, quality improvement, and evidence-based care. Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures, including pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac services. Qualifications & Skills Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred). Licenses and certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, and ACLS (all required upon hire). 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills; ability to work well with healthcare professionals and patients. Additional Information: The role emphasizes compassionate service, team collaboration, patient safety, and continuous professional development. The RT II will work primarily in critical care areas, addressing diverse biological, emotional, and psychosocial patient needs.
