They serve as a workgroup leader and unit coordinator, developing, evaluating, and modifying patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams. The role requires demonstrating proficiency in invasive and non-invasive procedures, serving as a respiratory consultant, and participating in daily patient rounds. Key Responsibilities Act as Care Coordinator, ensuring evidence-based respiratory care. Maintain expertise in respiratory medications, equipment, and clinical procedures. Participate in quality improvement, clinical trials, and research activities. Provide patient and family education and assist in patient discharge planning. Support new staff and students through education and mentorship. Ensure accurate documentation and maintain clinical equipment. Participate in emergency response teams and uphold infection prevention protocols. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in Georgia. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT, RCP, all required upon hire. Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work effectively under stress and in emergency situations. Proficiency in computer skills and knowledge of surgical procedures.
