## Job description

This role is for a Weekend Respiratory Therapist II working night shifts (7pm-7am) in a hospital setting. The primary responsibilities include providing advanced respiratory care, such as ventilator management, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care areas. The therapist collaborates with healthcare team members to plan and deliver quality patient care, educates patients and their families, and mentors new staff and students. Key duties involve ensuring patient safety through accurate documentation, promoting evidence-based practices, and participating in performance improvement initiatives. The role requires performing invasive and non-invasive procedures, arterial blood gas analysis, and supporting invasive procedures when needed. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program, an associate's degree (bachelor's preferred), and 0-2 years of clinical experience with critical care exposure. Essential skills encompass excellent communication, critical thinking, and computer proficiency. Required certifications are Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, and ACLS.
