## Job description

Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in critical care settings. Key Responsibilities Provide patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and execution, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis. Collaborate with healthcare team members, educate patients and families, and mentor new staff and students. Ensure a safe, high-quality environment by promoting accurate documentation, medication safety, evidence-based practices, and participation in performance improvement initiatives. Support invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac services as needed. Contribute to a positive team environment and foster professional development. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred). Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT, RCP, with all certifications obtained upon hire. 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care. Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills, including familiarity with databases. Additional Requirements: Ability to work independently in complex patient situations, demonstrate leadership in patient education, and adhere to organizational policies.
