Acts as a workgroup leader and unit coordinator, developing and evaluating patient care plans using evidence-based practices, protocols, and guidelines. Key Duties Develops and modifies respiratory care plans; collaborates with physicians, nurses, and clinicians. Demonstrates competency in invasive and non-invasive procedures and equipment. Serves as a respiratory consultant across hospital service lines and participates in patient rounds. Manages respiratory medications, clinical chemistries, and emergency airway procedures. Participates in quality improvement, patient discharge education, and clinical research. Provides training and education to clinical staff, including physicians and nurses. Maintains certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and relevant licenses. Supports infection prevention and equipment maintenance. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred. Current NBRC-RRT and Georgia Respiratory Care license required. Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience preferred.
