Acts as a workgroup leader and unit coordinator, developing and evaluating respiratory patient care plans through collaboration with healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, and evaluate respiratory care plans using evidence-based practices. Serve as a respiratory consultant across hospital service lines and participate in daily patient rounds. Demonstrate proficiency in invasive and non-invasive procedures, equipment, and airway management, including emergencies. Maintain knowledge of respiratory medications, clinical chemistries, and current guidelines. Contribute to quality improvement projects and assist in patient discharge planning with education for patients and families. Support clinical education and orientation for new staff and students, ensuring adherence to safety and infection prevention protocols. Participate in clinical research activities and prioritize care during high-acuity situations. Document accurately, communicate effectively, and utilize hospital information systems skillfully. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred). Valid certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP upon hire. Current Georgia Respiratory Care license. Minimum of 2 years in Critical Care preferred. Strong clinical skills, communication, and ability to handle high-acuity care.
