Demonstrates proficiency in invasive and non-invasive procedures, respiratory medications, and equipment. Provides patient and family education, participates in quality improvement, and supports new staff and students. Ensures documentation accuracy, utilizes hospital information systems securely, and maintains clinical equipment. Supports patient transports and adheres to infection prevention protocols. Qualifications & Skills Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor's preferred. Licenses & Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, Georgia Respiratory Care Professional upon hire. Minimum of 1 year experience in Respiratory Care; 2+ years in Critical Care preferred. Proficiency in basic respiratory modalities, ventilator care, tracheostomy management, ABG collection, and EKG; endotracheal intubation and bronchoscopy assist preferred. Core Responsibilities Develop, implement, and modify respiratory care plans using evidence-based practices. Serve as a respiratory consultant across hospital departments. Assist in patient discharge planning and education. Participate in clinical training, quality initiatives, and equipment maintenance.
