They serve as a care coordinator, providing expertise in invasive and non-invasive procedures, respiratory medications, and emergency airway management. Responsibilities Develop and modify respiratory care plans, communicate with healthcare providers, and serve as a clinical consultant. Demonstrate proficiency in critical procedures, equipment, and pharmacology related to respiratory care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient education, and discharge planning. Assist in clinical orientation and provide ongoing education to staff and students. Prioritize care during high-acuity situations, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain equipment and infection control standards. Qualifications & Skills Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor's preferred. Licenses and certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, and Georgia Respiratory Care Professional certification. Minimum of 1 year experience in Respiratory Care; 2+ years in Critical Care preferred. Skills include basic respiratory modalities, ventilator management, tracheostomy care, ABG collection, and EKG proficiency; endotracheal intubation and bronchoscopy assist preferred.
