Key Responsibilities Provide patient assessments, collaborate with healthcare teams, and verify orders for therapies such as aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, oxygen, and medical gases. Manage ventilators, perform weaning, interpret waveforms, and handle airway procedures including intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care. Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, educate patients and support staff, and mentor new employees and students. Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac services as needed. Ensure a safe, high-quality environment by promoting accurate documentation, electronic orders, and adherence to safety protocols. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, promote evidence-based practices, and review updated protocols. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 quarter hours of science; associate's degree required, bachelor's preferred. Current certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, all required upon hire. 0-2 years of clinical experience, including at least 6 months in critical care.
