## Job description

Freelance Revit MEP Tester – Ventilation / HVAC (Remote, ±10 days) Do you model ductwork in Revit every week — and enjoy taking new software apart? We're looking for a ventilation designer to put a new Revit plugin through its paces before release. Our client has built a plugin that automates HVAC ductwork design inside Revit: automatic routing, duct sizing, clash-free 3D output, bill of quantities and energy calculations. They now want a practicing engineer to test it against reality. This is not a classic QA role. We need engineering judgement: is the ductwork the plugin produces correct — and would you actually build it? What you'll do Run realistic ventilation scenarios through the beta plugin in Revit Check routing, duct sizing and generated quantities against how you'd design it yourself Document findings clearly: steps to reproduce, expected vs actual, screenshots Talk directly with the product team about what's wrong and what's missing What you bring Hands-on Revit MEP experience with ductwork: duct systems, fittings, air terminals, families Solid ventilation design knowledge: airflow, duct sizing, pressure drop, air distribution A critical eye and the patience to write down exactly what you did Working English, written and spoken Freelance status and the ability to invoice Nice to have Experience with other Revit add-ins (MagiCAD, DDS-CAD, Trimble Nova, Dynamo) Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit for Mechanical Design Quantity take-off / BOQ experience Earlier beta testing of AEC software Practical 100% remote, roughly 10 working days, flexible spread Likely to return with future releases — this is the first of several test rounds Freelance assignment via Cactus; rate depending on experience NDA required (beta software)
