## Job description

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse specializes in acute orthopaedic surgical care, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team. They follow evidence-based practices, uphold the standards of the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, and adhere to professional ethics. The role involves assessing patients, planning and implementing individualized care, and collaborating effectively with team members and patients' families to achieve optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive, patient-centered care. Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education. Coordinate safe, quality care via interdisciplinary teamwork and documentation. Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice. Participate in developing protocols, resource management, and professional development activities. Mentor and serve as a preceptor to foster a qualified nursing workforce. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience. Associates or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification. Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in using technology to support clinical care and basic computer skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond decisively to emergencies. Additional Notes: The RN is expected to uphold organizational policies, participate in quality initiatives, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive clinical environment. They play a vital role in ensuring excellent patient outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based care and continuous professional growth.
