## Job description

Role Overview This position is for an RN specializing in Acute Care for Orthopedic Surgery, working full-time night shifts, Friday through Sunday. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care within a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, and develop individualized care plans using evidence-based practices. Provide relationship-based care tailored to patient demographics, cultural diversity, and specific health conditions. Partner with patients and families through effective communication methods such as bedside reports and education, ensuring patient goals are prioritized. Maintain adherence to current clinical standards and promote teamwork through interdisciplinary collaboration and timely documentation. Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and uphold safety and organizational policies. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a qualified workforce and model professional nursing practices. Engage in evidence-based practice, clinical research, and resource development to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred. Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience with direct patient care preferred. Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills essential for success in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
