## Job description

Role Overview: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in acute care orthopedic surgical patients, working full-time night shifts on weekends. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on evidence-based practices. Deliver patient-centered, culturally sensitive care tailored to individual needs and conditions. Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and goal setting. Ensure safe, high-quality care through interdisciplinary teamwork, documentation, and adherence to standards. Support performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and professional development. Mentor and serve as a preceptor to colleagues and students to promote workforce development. Participate in protocol development, resource optimization, and data collection to improve patient outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Valid RN license (single state or multi-state compact). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with preferred direct patient care background. Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and commitment to quality improvement.
