## Job description

Role Overview: The RN - Acute Care Orthopedic Surgical nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team. They practice according to established standards, evidence-based research, and organizational policies, ensuring individualized care tailored to diverse patient populations. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making. Coordinate safe care delivery, ensure proper documentation, and promote a respectful, inclusive environment. Collaborate with team members, support performance improvement initiatives, and participate in research and evidence-based practices. Mentor and serve as a preceptor to foster professional development and a healthy work environment. Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and support quality outcomes such as reducing readmissions and adverse events. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience. Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Associates or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred. Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and technical skills. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly to emergencies. Additional Requirements: Commitment to professional growth, adherence to ethical standards, and active participation in performance improvement activities. The role emphasizes compassionate, culturally sensitive care aligned with organizational values.
