## Job description

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team in an acute care setting, focusing on orthopaedic surgery. They practice accordance with state nursing laws, professional standards, and organizational policies, emphasizing evidence-based practice, cultural competence, and care coordination. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using critical thinking and evidence-based standards. Partner with patients and their families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making to promote optimal outcomes. Coordinate safe, high-quality care across the team, ensuring timely documentation and fostering a respectful, inclusive environment. Contribute to quality improvement, research, and performance initiatives, supporting organizational goals and safety standards. Serve as preceptor or mentor, promoting professional development and a healthy work environment. Support resource management, protocol development, and evidence-based decision-making to enhance patient outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 5 years RN experience, preferably in direct patient care. Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred. Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification. Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills, with the ability to respond effectively in emergencies and manage time efficiently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, applying evidence and analytical skills with critical thinking.
