## Job description

Role Overview: The RN Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations in an acute care cardiac telemetry setting, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. They direct staff, manage patient assignments, and support clinical practices aligned with evidence-based standards. Key Responsibilities: Monitor resources, equipment, and staffing needs for optimal care delivery. Coordinate patient flow, discharge planning, and bed management. Conduct rounds, evaluate care quality, and address clinical concerns. Lead interdisciplinary communication, promote teamwork, and support performance improvement initiatives. Mentor and develop staff, fostering a healthy, compliant work environment. Participate in research, evidence-based practice, and quality initiatives. Qualifications & Skills: Must hold an active RN license, with certifications in BLS and ACLS. Preferred education includes a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Strong clinical expertise, leadership ability, effective communication, teamwork, and commitment to patient safety are essential. Additional Duties: The role includes resource planning, clinical oversight, staff mentoring, and contributing to hospital performance and safety standards. The Charge Nurse acts as a role model, ensures compliance, and promotes patient-centered care.
