## Job description

About JobShaped JobShaped.com is a CV tool built on one unusual rule: it never invents anything. It reshapes the experience a candidate actually has so the parts relevant to a specific job posting come first, in that posting's language. It does not add skills they do not have, and it does not write them a career they did not live. It is an early-stage product. The site is live, articles publish twice a week, the LinkedIn presence has just launched, and directory and community distribution is starting now. It is not a funded startup with a marketing department. It is one person who built the product and is now putting it in front of the people it was built for. About the role This is a collaboration rather than a full-time position. The scope is deliberately flexible: it can be one specific project, an ongoing piece of the growth work, or an advisory arrangement. Take on the part that matches what you are good at. Responsibilities: Depending on the scope agreed, some of the following: Own or contribute to the SEO content engine, currently publishing twice a week. Writing, editing, keyword research, or running the whole cadence. Execute distribution: directory listings, launch platforms, and the online communities where people ask for exactly this product and get sold something else. Grow social presence beyond LinkedIn, which is the only channel currently live. Improve conversion, turning arriving traffic into people who complete and download a CV. Report on what is working, with numbers rather than instinct, and recommend what to stop. Nobody is expected to do all of this. The most valuable contribution is a clear view on which of these matters most right now, and doing that one properly. Requirements: Demonstrable experience marketing a SaaS or self-serve product, OR an established audience that overlaps with job seekers, career changers, students or recruiters Ability to work independently without a team or an established brand behind you Comfort marketing from a position of honesty rather than urgency. This product cannot make the claims its competitors make: no beating the robots, no getting hired three times faster, no invented statistics. Campaigns must stand up without them. Willingness to be measured on outcomes that are visible in a small set of real numbers Nice to have: Experience in careers, recruitment, HR tech or education Content and SEO experience specifically, since that is the main growth bet A track record launching on Product Hunt, AlternativeTo or similar platforms Additional languages, since the product generates CVs in twelve Not a fit if: You need an existing audience, budget or team to work with You are an agency pitching a standard retainer Your first recommendation is buying ads What we offer: Scope and terms agreed individually. A creator running one campaign, a freelancer taking on the content cadence and a consultant advising monthly are three different arrangements, and they are priced differently. Tell us what you want to take on and what you want in return, and you will get a straight answer quickly, including when the answer is no. Full remote, anywhere in the world, with no fixed hours Direct access to the founder, with no layers between your work and the decision Genuine ownership of a channel, and visible attribution for what it produces How to apply: Apply here, or message directly. Include one thing you would change about jobshaped.com and why. A portfolio or a link to your work is more useful than a cover letter. You do not need to tailor your CV for this, although it would be funny if you did. Every application is read personally, and you will get a clear no rather than silence. We have just spent a month writing about how much that silence costs people, so it would be a strange thing to inflict on anyone here.
