## Job description

🔥 **Senior AI Research Engineer - Computer Vision**
We are looking for **2 Senior AI Research Engineers** to join an international deep-tech project focused on AI solutions for aquaculture.
The company develops AI-powered systems at the intersection of **computer vision, biology, and specialized imaging**, helping detect, identify, and predict traits of aquatic species.
📍 **Location:** EU or Asia
💼 **Seniority:** Senior / Expert
🇬🇧 **Language:** English
🎓 MSc / PhD preferred, strong BSc candidates with equivalent industrial experience are also welcome

MUST HAVE
— 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning / AI research or engineering
— Strong hands-on experience in **Computer Vision and image/video processing**
— Strong Python skills
— Experience with **PyTorch, scikit-learn, SciPy, Matplotlib** or similar ML frameworks
— Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture
— Ability to take research ideas from **POC to working prototype**
— Experience designing and running experiments
— Strong understanding of model testing and statistical validation
— Clean, robust, and efficient coding skills
— Strong English communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities
— Design and implement ML and classical computer vision algorithms
— Develop POCs and working prototypes
— Plan and conduct experiments around business and research questions
— Build data processing and training pipelines
— Extend existing ML / DL frameworks and codebases
— Develop model testing and statistical verification processes
— Document experiments and research findings
— Lead long-term applied research activities
— Stay up to date with the latest AI/ML developments
— Support recruitment of additional AI talent

Nice to Have
— Production ML / AI deployment experience
— CUDA / ONNX / TensorRT
— Docker / Kubernetes
— SQL / MongoDB
— AWS / Azure / GCP
— MLOps: MLflow, DVC, Metaflow, Databricks
— CI/CD tools
— Experience with networking / message-passing protocols
