About The Team We are looking for a Senior Backend QA Automation Engineer to join and strengthen our Datafeeds team. Our team is responsible for building and maintaining robust, high-throughput data pipelines and backend services that ingest, process, and deliver financial market data. This is a data-heavy environment where performance, accuracy, and reliability are paramount. Our engineering culture emphasizes responsibility, transparency, and continuous improvement. Our Technology Stack: Languages & Frameworks: Python, PyTest, Requests Databases & Tools: SQL, Git, curl, Postman Infrastructure & Monitoring: Linux, Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, AWS Productivity: Jira, Confluence, AI-assisted development tools Responsibilities Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and test suites in Python for backend services and data pipelines. Backend & Data Testing: Perform comprehensive functional, integration, and performance testing of backend services, APIs, and data feeds. Release Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute production releases, ensuring zero-downtime and high quality. Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and improve QA processes by automating routine tasks and integrating tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Root Cause Analysis: Analyze application logs, system metrics, and data anomalies to troubleshoot, isolate, and diagnose complex issues. Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with developers, product managers, and data engineers to clarify requirements, refine user stories, and track issues in Jira/Confluence. Data Research: Assist the team in researching complex data discrepancies and data quality issues. What makes you the perfect fit Senior-level QA Expertise: 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on backend testing, test design techniques, and implementing Left-Shift testing methodologies. Python Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python with solid experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest). Data & SQL: Strong knowledge of SQL and experience validating data integrity and processing across databases. API Testing: Proficient in testing REST/gRPC APIs using automation tools as well as hands-on tools like curl and Postman. Linux & Infrastructure: Comfortable with Linux/Unix environments, command-line tools, and basic shell scripting. Observability: Experience working with application logs and monitoring/metrics tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, ELK) to diagnose system behavior. AI Tooling: Experience leveraging AI assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate test generation and code analysis. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset towards quality. Will be a plus Experience in finance or trading domain Familiarity with TradingView as a product Deep background in Data Testing (ETL pipelines, big data validation). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS (S3, EC2, CloudWatch, etc.). Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
