Senior Backend Engineer (On-site) – Omno Location: Tbilisi, Georgia (On-site) Experience: 7+ years Employment Type: Full-time About Omno OMNO is a fintech company building a modern Payment Orchestration Platform that enables businesses to manage and optimize payments through a single integration. We're passionate about creating scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that simplify the payment experience. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. Build high-performance, secure, and reliable systems for payment processing and financial services. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver new features. Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions. Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices. Review code, mentor engineers, and promote a culture of technical excellence. Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term improvements. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate. Requirements 7+ years of professional experience in backend software development. Strong experience with backend development using any modern programming language (Java, Kotlin, C#, Python, Node.js, PHP, or similar). Willingness and ability to develop production services in Go (Golang) . Previous Go experience is a plus but not required . Solid understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures. Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices. Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization. Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
