Position: Senior Backend Engineer (Python)
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Work format: Hybrid (1-2 times a week)
Employment: B2B

On The Spot Development is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to join a product team working on Orca — a cloud security solution focused on network visibility and large-scale data processing.

The role is focused on backend development — building scalable services, working with high-volume data streams, and improving system performance and reliability. You will also contribute to architectural decisions and system design.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with Python
- Strong focus on backend development, distributed systems, or real-time data processing
- Understanding of high-load systems and experience designing and deploying real-time data pipelines (Kafka or similar)
- Experience with performance optimization and scalable architectures

Nice to have:
- Experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, or networking domains
- Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, Docker
