This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate U.S. GAAP reporting, strengthening accounting processes, and leading the day-to-day work of the accounting function. The Controller will also work closely with leadership on cash-flow planning, budgeting, and financial analysis, making this a hands-on role with meaningful exposure to broader business operations. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Prepare financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Oversee accounting controls and identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes. Lead, manage, and develop members of the accounting team. Maintain accurate and timely accounting records within QuickBooks Online. Improve accounting workflows, procedures, and internal controls as the business grows. Support cash-flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Partner with senior leadership to provide financial reporting and business insights. Help ensure accounting operations remain accurate, scalable, and well documented. Qualifications Proven experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or comparable accounting leadership role. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting. Demonstrated ownership of month-end close and general ledger processes. Experience managing or mentoring an accounting team. Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online. Track record of improving accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls. Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capabilities. Experience supporting budgeting and cash-flow forecasting. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to consistently work U.S. Eastern Time business hours, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST. Nice-to-Haves Experience in mortgage, fintech, lending, or broader financial services.
