We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer/Modeler to join a major European player in Mobility & Convenience. You'll bridge the gap between business stakeholders in Europe and the Data Engineering team in Pune, India, working with high-volume UDP streaming data.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Business Engagement** โ Act as the primary data liaison for the "Mobility and Convenience Europe" division. Translate business goals into technical requirements and logical data models.
**UDP Data Architecture** โ Deeply understand inbound UDP streams. Define transformation, validation, and routing logic for ingestion into the core Data Warehouse.
**Data Modeling** โ Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models optimized for performance and scalability with streaming data.
**Work Package Definition** โ Break down business requirements into clear, structured tasks (specifications, mapping docs, transformation logic) for the Pune-based engineering team.
**Technical Leadership** โ Serve as the technical point of contact for the Pune team. Review code and implementations to ensure alignment with defined models.
**Data Governance** โ Ensure compliance with European data privacy and governance standards (GDPR).
**Tech Stack:**
โ๏ธ **AWS** (S3, Kinesis, IAM, EC2) + โ๏ธ **Databricks** (Delta Lake, Spark SQL, Unity Catalog)
**Requirements:**
5+ years of commercial Data Engineering experience.
Deep understanding of **UDP streaming data** architecture.
Strong **Data Modeling** skills (dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization).
Hands-on experience with **AWS + Databricks** in production.
English **B2+** โ fluent communication with European business and Indian teams.
Experience writing clear technical documentation for distributed teams.
