## Job description

About Next Level Next Level is a Georgian iGaming studio that designs, builds, and operates its own online casino games and supporting technology. The company creates crash games, mini-games, slots, and peer-to-peer skill games such as Backgammon, Domino, card games, etc. Next Level combines game development, product design, visual art, animation, and platform engineering within one closely connected team. It owns the full process - from game concept and visual identity to development, deployment, and production operation. The Role You will create the visual worlds behind Next Level's games and campaigns. The role covers game branding and key art , characters and environments , marketing and social campaigns , and website graphics and banners . This is a hands-on senior design role. You will take projects from an initial brief through concept development and final visual execution, then prepare organised, production-ready assets for motion animators, UI/UX designers, and development teams. You should be comfortable creating stylised and illustrated work while adapting your approach to different games, audiences, brands, and campaign goals. What You Will Do 1. Turn creative briefs, game concepts, and commercial goals into strong visual directions. 2. Develop game identities, including logos, key art, colour palettes, typography, graphic motifs, and supporting brand systems. 3. Design characters, environments, props, backgrounds, and other illustrated elements that establish the world of a game. 4. Create campaign concepts and final assets for social media, digital advertising, product launches, promotions, and operator-facing marketing. 5. Produce website graphics, hero banners, game thumbnails, promotional tiles, and other responsive digital assets. 6. Adapt approved concepts across different formats, placements, languages, and aspect ratios without weakening the original idea. 7. Prepare structured source files and production-ready exports for motion animation, game development, and web implementation. 8. Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to ensure game branding and interface design feel like one visual system. 9. Work with motion animators to define layers, animation opportunities, transitions, and asset requirements. 10. Partner with game and product teams to understand mechanics, themes, player expectations, and commercial objectives. 11. Use AI-assisted image workflows for exploration and production while maintaining creative control, consistency, and final quality. Our Design Environment 12. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for illustration, compositing, branding, image editing, and production-ready asset creation. 13. AI-assisted image generation and editing tools for concept exploration, iteration, and controlled production workflows. 14. Figma-based collaboration with UI/UX designers and frontend teams. 15. Game clients built with React and PixiJS. 16. Spine, Lottie, and GSAP-based animation workflows handled in collaboration with motion designers and animators. 17. Assets produced for games, websites, social media, campaigns, and casino platforms. What We Are Looking For 18. 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, visual design, illustration, brand design, or a closely related role. 19. A strong portfolio that demonstrates concept development and final execution - not only isolated finished images. 20. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator . 21. Strong ability to create stylised, illustrated visual work and adapt across different creative directions. 22. Experience developing complete visual identities rather than producing unrelated individual assets. 23. Strong fundamentals in composition, colour, lighting, typography, hierarchy, and visual storytelling. 24. The ability to move from a rough brief or early idea to a clear, distinctive, and commercially effective visual concept. 25. Strong image-compositing, retouching, and asset-preparation skills. 26. Ability to accept feedback, explain creative decisions, and iterate without losing the central idea. 27. Good production discipline: organised source files, clear naming, reusable assets, correct export formats, and attention to technical requirements. 28. Clear written English - briefs, feedback, documentation, and cross-team communication are primarily in English. Nice to Have 29. Previous experience in gaming, iGaming, entertainment, advertising, or another visually competitive digital industry. 30. Experience creating game key art, characters, environments, logos, promotional thumbnails, or campaign identities. 31. Understanding of how static artwork should be prepared for animation in Spine, Lottie, After Effects, or similar tools. 32. Familiarity with the production constraints of web, mobile, game engines, and responsive digital placements. 33. Experience building campaign systems that can scale across social media, banners, websites, and partner placements. 34. Strong photography, photo-compositing, or digital-painting skills. 35. Practical and responsible use of AI-assisted creative tools, including maintaining character, style, and brand consistency. How We Work 36. Small team, direct communication, and close access to decision-makers. You work with the people designing the games, building the products, and planning the campaigns. 37. Designers are involved early, while game themes and creative directions are still being defined. 38. We value strong ideas, clear visual reasoning, and polished execution over decoration for its own sake. 39. Graphic design, UI/UX, motion, product, and game development work as one connected creative team. Hiring Process 40. 30-minute introductory call. 41. Portfolio and creative deep-dive: walk us through a project from the original brief and early concepts to the final execution. 42. We may ask you to complete a short test task relevant to the role. 43. Conversation with the founders. How to Apply Send your CV, portfolio, and a short cover letter to careers@nextlevelteam.io Include examples that show game or product branding, key art, characters or environments, campaign assets, and your ability to develop a concept across multiple formats.
