## Job description

Iterra Group is a digital systems integrator that helps organizations adapt to the demands of the digital revolution through advanced technology solutions and services. Drawing on the global experience of multinational vendor partners, the company focuses on building long-term, trust-based customer relationships. Iterra Group delivers comprehensive, end-to-end solutions across multiple industries to leading enterprises in Georgia. The organization fosters a culture of innovation and consistently goes beyond expectations to create measurable customer value. This commitment to excellence positions Iterra Group as a distinctive partner for businesses seeking unique digital capabilities and competitive advantage. The Senior Infrastructure & Virtualization Engineer is a hands-on technical specialist involved throughout the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects - from the Pre-Sales stage, including assessing customer requirements, designing technical solutions, and preparing BOMs and quotations, through to the Post-Sales stage, including installation, start-up, configuration, integration, testing, and migration. The position reports directly to the CTO, with technical assignments delegated by either the CTO or the IT Infrastructure Architect. The Senior Engineer independently manages the technical workstream assigned to them. However, responsibility for the overall project architecture, resource management, and final managerial accountability remains with the CTO or the IT Infrastructure Architect, depending on the specific project structure and allocation of responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Sales Meetings and Technical Discovery: Participate in customer meetings and calls to assess the existing environment and clarify business objectives, technical requirements, constraints, timelines, and budget parameters. Translate meeting outcomes into structured technical requirements and tasks. Solution Design: Develop appropriate Server, Storage, SAN/NAS, HCI, Virtualization, Backup, and Disaster Recovery solutions based on the information gathered, considering architectural alternatives, component compatibility, performance, availability, and future scalability requirements. Sizing, BOM, and Quote Preparation: Perform solution sizing and configuration using vendor sizing/calculator tools and internal templates. Prepare and validate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), licensing requirements, support packages, professional services, and the technical components of quotations and commercial proposals. Technical Proposals and Presentations: Prepare Solution Descriptions, technical architectures, diagrams, Scopes of Work, assumptions, and exclusions. Present proposed solutions to customers, respond to technical questions, and clearly articulate and justify the advantages of the recommended approach. PoC, Demo, and Tender Support: Participate in the preparation and delivery of Proof of Concept (PoC) and demonstration scenarios. Conduct technical analysis of RFP/RFQ requirements, prepare compliance matrices, and coordinate technical information and special quotations with vendors and distributors. Implementation and Configuration: Install, start up, and perform initial and final configuration of servers, storage systems, SAN/NAS, HCI, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery platforms. Execution of Project Plans: Accurately and promptly execute the HLD/LLD, Implementation Plan, Migration Plan, and technical tasks defined by the CTO or IT Infrastructure Architect. Migration and Upgrades: Perform migrations of virtual machines, data, storage resources, and infrastructure services, as well as upgrades and patching, within agreed change and maintenance windows. Technical Audit and Discovery: Collect information about existing environments, review configurations, identify risks and technical constraints, and provide accurate findings to the CTO and/or IT Infrastructure Architect. Integration and Testing: Integrate infrastructure components, conduct functional and performance testing, and validate agreed acceptance criteria. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, coordinate with vendor support teams, and document implemented solutions. Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including Implementation Records, As-Built Documentation, Configuration Guides, Runbooks, Test Reports, and Handover Documents. Knowledge Transfer: Deliver technical training and handover sessions to customer administrators and technical teams. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Infrastructure Architect, Network and Network Security Specialists, Cybersecurity Team, Sales Team, and Vendor Engineers to ensure coordinated and successful project delivery.
