About the Role

We are looking for a senior consultant with proven experience managing Ubuntu/Debian laptops in an enterprise environment.
The client has 50+ Linux laptops used by developers and needs support designing and implementing a centrally managed, secure endpoint environment.
This is not a DevOps or traditional Linux administration role. The specialist must have direct experience with corporate Linux endpoints and be able to work as both a consultant and hands-on architect.

Responsibilities
Design a centralised management solution for Ubuntu/Debian laptops.
Configure corporate Wi-Fi, certificates and VPN access.
Define endpoint security, hardening and compliance requirements.
Implement device provisioning, patching and configuration management.
Create and maintain a standard Linux system image.
Integrate Linux endpoints with corporate identity and security systems.
Work with Network and Security teams.
Recommend suitable MDM/UEM tools and support implementation.

Must-Have Experience
Enterprise Linux laptop or workstation management.
Ubuntu/Debian fleet management.
MDM/UEM tools such as Intune, NinjaOne, Landscape or similar.
PKI, certificates, 802.1X, EAP-TLS and corporate Wi-Fi.
VPN configuration and endpoint security.
Linux provisioning, imaging and patch management.
Strong consulting and architecture skills.
Confident English.
