Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native + Native iOS & Android) 📍 Remote | Full-Time | Wellnite At Wellnite, we're building the emotionally intelligent life assistant —a platform that helps people understand themselves and others, communicate better, and follow through on what matters. We're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer who is equally comfortable building in React Native and working with native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) when platform-specific performance or capabilities require it. This is not a maintenance role. You'll be building the future of our mobile platform alongside our founders and engineering leadership. What You'll Build You'll work on products used by thousands of users, including: AI-powered conversations Messaging and communications Calendar and productivity features Video calling Health and wellness experiences Push notifications Offline-first experiences Deep native integrations High-performance animations Premium mobile UX You'll own features from architecture through production. Responsibilities Develop and maintain our React Native applications Build native iOS components using Swift Build native Android components using Kotlin Bridge native functionality into React Native Improve application performance and startup time Design scalable mobile architecture Collaborate closely with product, design, AI, and backend teams Review code and mentor other engineers Help define engineering standards and best practices Own production releases and ensure high app quality Requirements Must Have 7+ years of mobile development experience Expert in React Native Strong Swift/iOS development experience Strong Kotlin/Android development experience Deep understanding of mobile architecture Experience publishing apps to both App Store and Google Play Strong knowledge of REST APIs Experience integrating third-party SDKs Excellent debugging skills Strong understanding of mobile security Experience with Git Nice to Have Expo experience Native Modules TurboModules React Native New Architecture Hermes AI integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) WebRTC Video streaming Push notifications Firebase Analytics platforms Offline synchronization HIPAA or healthcare experience Fastlane CI/CD pipelines E2E testing Performance profiling Technologies React Native TypeScript Swift Kotlin NestJS PostgreSQL Firebase GitHub Actions OpenAI APIs Figma REST APIs What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Thinks like an owner Loves shipping products quickly Cares deeply about user experience Can solve difficult engineering problems independently Writes clean, maintainable code Communicates clearly Thrives in a fast-moving startup Wants to build products that impact millions of people Bonus Points Built apps with over 100,000 users Startup experience Healthcare or wellness experience AI-first product experience Experience scaling mobile applications Open-source contributions Hiring Process Initial interview Technical interview Paid technical trial Final interview Offer Why Join Wellnite?
