About the Role
We are looking for an experienced **Senior Python Backend Engineer** to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable, production-grade backend solutions powered by modern Python and Generative AI technologies.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust backend services, with a strong focus on asynchronous programming, clean architecture, and high-quality software engineering practices.
You will also work on integrating **Large Language Models (LLMs)** into production systems, building intelligent backend capabilities such as agent orchestration, tool integrations, and automated response evaluation.
This is a hands-on engineering position that combines strong Python backend expertise with practical experience delivering reliable, scalable, and maintainable AI-powered applications.

Responsibilities
— Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using modern Python, asynchronous programming, and clean architectural principles.
— Build and maintain RESTful APIs, data schemas, and integrations with external services, knowledge sources, and AI components.
— Develop and enhance LLM-powered backend functionality, including agent orchestration, tool calling, and integration with external tools.
— Implement and improve LLM response evaluation mechanisms to ensure quality, reliability, and consistency.
— Apply software engineering best practices to build secure, maintainable, and production-ready backend solutions.
— Write clean, well-structured, typed, and testable Python code.
— Ensure software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
— Collaborate with backend engineers, AI specialists, and product teams to design and deliver new features.
— Continuously improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of production services.

Requirements
— Strong professional experience in **Python backend development**, including building and maintaining production-grade web services.
— Advanced hands-on experience with **Python 3.x**, asynchronous programming, type hints, and backend API development.
— Proven experience delivering **LLM / Generative AI functionality in production**, beyond prototypes or proof-of-concepts.
— Practical experience with **LangChain, LangGraph**, or similar LLM orchestration frameworks.
— Experience with prompt engineering, tool integrations, and agent-based workflows.
— Strong understanding of **LLM evaluation and quality assurance**, including evaluation datasets, testing methodologies, observability, and production feedback mechanisms.
— Solid experience with modern Python API frameworks, particularly **FastAPI**.
— Strong knowledge of **Pydantic** for data validation and schema management.
— Good understanding of clean architecture, structured software design, and maintainable backend systems.
— Experience with automated testing, code reviews, Git-based development workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
— Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to code quality.
— Professional working proficiency in **English**.
— Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and product teams.
