Ensures safe, age-appropriate patient care, proper equipment setup, and accurate image acquisition to support diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities Include Verifying clinician orders and obtaining complete patient histories. Properly identifying patients and ensuring privacy and comfort during procedures. Explaining procedures to patients using clear communication techniques. Setting up and operating ultrasound equipment, maintaining quality control, and submitting images to PACS. Assisting with emergency situations and responding to patient needs. Restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting departmental operations. Participating in training, adhering to safety standards, and following infection control protocols. Qualifications & Skills High School diploma or GED; Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree preferred. Certifications: ARDMS or ARRT-S, BLS required upon hire. Minimum of 1-year clinical ultrasound experience; graduate of an accredited program preferred. Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility, dependability, and adherence to policies and procedures.
