## Job description

Role Overview: The Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and develops treatment plans for patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing issues. They collaborate with physicians to establish and assess ongoing care, set realistic discharge goals, and deliver therapy services aimed at improving patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments and establish individualized treatment programs. Implement and adjust therapy plans, select appropriate activities, and provide patient and family education. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge planning in accordance with departmental guidelines. Coordinate with healthcare team to ensure quality, cost-effective care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Provide discharge instructions and referrals, and act as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited speech-language pathology program. Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and BLS certification required upon hire. Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork skills, and basic computer proficiency. Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional development. Additional Expectations: Adhere to ethical standards, maintain punctuality and professionalism, foster teamwork, participate in ongoing education, and contribute to a positive patient and coworker environment.
